Life is full of both wonderful and difficult experiences and through it all, I believe it is possible to gain insight into our struggles and to set a new and positive course towards emotional wellness.
How Counseling Helps
Together with clients, I follow a Cognitive Behavioural Therapy approach to understand the connections between past circumstances and present patterns of relating and coping. I believe that by understanding what is beneath our thoughts, feelings, and actions we are able to develop skills using cognitive behavioural and mindfulness approaches and ultimately choose to do things differently in the future.
I work with adults of all ages experiencing anxiety, depression, and mental health challenges related to chronic pain. I also offer couples therapy following The Gottman Method and counselling in both English and French.
